He shot for a good shooting percentage but barely took any shots.

High energy guy but putting that energy to good use was not his strength as a Gator.

    I wish him well.

Interesting. The athleticism was obvious but his skills were practically nonexistent. Which is not surprising, as he was really new to the game of basketball when he joined the Gators.

I was a little disappointed when he left; seemed like the last couple of weeks he’d shown some things to make me think he could be useful going forward. Don’t recall what front court player was essentially chosen over him, but I’m glad he’s had some success in the game.

9 personal fouls in 17 minutes doesn’t bode well.

Do they actually let someone commit 9 called fouls? Or were there two games that night?

Didn’t know that. But what’s the point? Trying that rule out for other levels?
If it’s to keep players on the court so they can develop and showcase themselves, it seems misguided; they’ll develop into players who commit fouls at a rate of 9 per 17 minutes.

It clearly is to keep players on the floor. By the way, Osifo had a good game for San Antonio yesterday. Played 16 minutes, 8 points on 3-4 shooting, 5 rebounds and 5 fouls. He also had the highest +/- for San Antonio. Also, Will Richard had a very good game for the Warriors.

If you're gonna give a guy 10 fouls, then make every foul a minimum 2-shot foul.

I am not so sure the NBA takes these games as serious competition and auditions for remaining with the team. Methinks the guaranteed money in the contracts keeps the teams' options limited too many times. A Beal may be keeping a competent team down but you may not have a choice to cut bait.

Anyways, it appears as if these games are akin to the NFL funding a spring/summer Arena Football league in order for players to "audition" for the teams. It may have some entertainment appeal for some fans, but if the game isn't a good indicator for how you fit in the next level, what is the reason, other than collect money from some bored fans and distribute it to some peripheral players so that the brand can be nurtured in some way?

Well, what else is there to do in the dog days of summer? I guess watching the grass grow with all the heat and rain is an option. But that is about it.
