I should open up a Trumpgasm thread...maybe bait the rabidly TDS infested to have the grandest of orgies in my bogus bait thread... Hmmmmm.... (Shoot...id have to take the most rabidly infested of all, off my ignore list...NM...).
It’s sort of amusing irony most “deniers” of climate change are operating on the basis that no way mankind has the power to impact the entire planet’s climate, but then you have nutbars like this thinking someone (the Jews?) have a magic tornado machine to direct weaponized attacks. Assuming it is serious belief at all instead of a really low down sludge on bottom of the barrel person’s trolling effort, I would wonder why she thinks this locale in particular was targeted?
Good I’m glad low staffing did not contribute to this tragedy. Now to look at protocols in place for when to evacuate after a warning. Should it be mandatory if you are right next to a river?
Terrible. Wonder if that will make it hard to piece together where “things went wrong” as far as the extent of their evac plan, who was calling the shots, how much info they had, etc.? This guy - by virtue of being the owner/operator - may have been “most to blame”, but he also gave his life trying to save them.
Seems like the possible criticism here is that the staff responsible for getting the messages out to the community were cut,.not sure why having 5 forecasters instead of 2 is meaningful if fewer people get the warnings...
I thought I read the exact opposite. It would be insane to evacuate the high ground first. Trying to find the info again in that thread.
Who is saying this? We all know that if it's anyone appointed by, or associated with, the Trump Administration, it's probably a lie.
Marjorie and her band of MAGA lunatics would be calling this flood a false flag and calling the victims paid crisis actors if it happened in a blue state. Notice how they suddenly stop all the crackhead conspiracy theories when a tragedy affects a red area.
For CA wildfires, Trump and others said to withhold relief unless they satisfy irrelevant demands; I haven’t seen one Democrat say to withhold relief from Texas.
Perhaps the narrative should be: Maga Republicans in power in Texas Maga Republicans in power in Congress Maga Republicans in power in the Senate Maga Republicans in power in the Executive Maga Republicans in power in the Supreme Court Maga Republicans control the NWS, the NOAA and the local jurisdictions at the Federal, State and Local level where this happened. I notice Maga is the FIRST to blame the other party for anything and everything. Forget the staffing, look who is IN CHARGE. Watch them scurry for political cover.
