Sure. That is why we now have universal government healthcare, universal paid family leave, massive gun regulations, a much higher tax rate, and dramatic decreases in defense and law enforcement spending. Wait, none of those things happened? You just got mad because he didn't call out the national guard to go after swim meets that you didn't like and because he wanted people to take vaccines? Well, at least we can all agree that he nationalized a major industry when he extorted a controlling interest over a private company's governance to allow them to gain a private investment? Wait...that was Trump...

Elon's party will be a dismal failure. While there is a real need for a moderate innovative middle of the road political party, Elon's America party will not be that party. Based on his history it will most likely be a MAGA party without Mr. MAGA himself, Donald Trump. Musk will probably ditch Trump's love of fossil fuels, his protectionism and maybe his fiscal irresponsibility. It certainly will not be a party supporting the interests of middle class voters. While Musk may be a genius when it comes to technology his political instincts suck. Although he did manage to enrich himself by getting aboard the Trump train in the 2024 presidential campaign his lack of political acumen was demonstrated in the 2025 Wisconsin Supreme Court campaign. In what was the most expensive state judicial campaign Musk spent millions of dollars on behalf of the Republican/conservative candidate who despite Elon's support went on to lose by a margin of over 10% to the liberal candidate underperforming virtually every poll.

Another Billionaire looking to create a party to get their subsidies and tax breaks...

    No thanks, I'll pass.

Real change is required from the grassroots. Only way that happens is if the people suffer like a depression like event. Otherwise, they will absorb BS from both major parties and turn on Netflix.

Ross Perot says hi. Musk has alienated too big a portion of the electorate to make this work in my opinion.

Bless your heart if you think we'd get that from a party led by Elon Musk. Really any new party that achieves success at the national level will be corrupted just as Dems and Reps have been. Corporate money and billionaire money will see to that.

Think it’s great. We need a moderate party with common sense and let the whack far lefts and rights continue to battle to see who can be most idiotic of the two.

After the piss poor extreme choices we were given in last year’s election, we definitely need a middle ground third party option in this country.

Musk's American Party admin roster so far looks like a crooked corporate H1B roster. No wonder that clown was fiercely defending H1Bs taking good American jobs.

Sounds good to me. I have not seen anything out of Elon yet that has me concerned. I do not agree with him all the time and he attempts some stuff that seems a bit ridiculous. But he can. So good for him.

We need something to help get a third party imo...

Although nothing came of it in the end Ross Perot's party was more viable that the party Elon is trying to create. Although third party/independent candidates occasionally win state and local and even House or Senate elections (see Bernie Sanders who has been elected to the House and Senate as a Socialist or Lisa Murkowski who was elected as an independent write-in candidate in 2010 after losing the Republican primary to a hard line Tea Party rightie) a third party candidate will never be elected to the presidency thanks to the Electoral College.
