    Perhaps it is appropriate on July 4th to wonder whether we were wrong to declare independence from a king and would be better off without all these nuisance checks and balances.

    A president should never claim "power". In a Representative Constitutional Republic the only people with power are WE the people, and he is supposed to represent all of us.

    Tell that to Roosevelt's Theodore and Franklin. A POTUS is elected to get shit done, not to spend four years accomplishing nothing because his enemies use the courts to hogtie him. If you want different shit done, vote for somebody else.

    He loves to troll, gets under the lefts skin. You all need to find a leader on the left that can make a winning message. Calling him a King or threat to democracy is getting old.

    Time in office isn't what determines a dictator. It's his methods.

    Trump is also musing about possible ways he could circumvent the Constitution and run for a 3rd term.
