The Trump administration is withholding more than $6 billion in federal money for after-school and summer programs, throwing organizations and schools into chaos. The federal grants were supposed to be distributed Tuesday, but The Associated Press reported a memo went out from the Department of Education saying the money, which also covered some English language instruction, adult literacy and other efforts, is on hold. The Hill has reached out to the department for comment. Groups that help administer these programs, teachers unions and Democrats are all condemning the delay, which the department implemented in order to review if the money is in line with the administration’s priorities. Trump administration withholding $6B for after-school, summer programs This is impacting summer camps across the country for organizations like the Boys and Girls Club. When will Trump choose to put America first?

this is just more liberal bs being thrown at the wall hoping, no praying that something will stick this move was rescinded immediately as soon as it was learned how it would affect summer school programs
More lile how many times is the administration going to demonstrate their incompetence by making an announcement ot taking action just to immediately reverse course because they somehow overlooked an extremely likely adverse consequence?
If they reversed it they sure haven't let the CEO of the Boys and Girls Club club know that Statement from Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s President & CEO Jim Clark
I wonder why no Republicans condemn this. Either support it, or they're pretending that it didn't happen? From the article; Groups that help administer these programs, teachers unions and Democrats are all condemning the delay .....
“This is lawless. These are congressionally approved programs for this year, and the Trump administration is trying to defund education”
Perhaps they need to write in the work requirement for the kids before releasing the funds. The new DOE anti-woke aspirational goal - no field left unharvested
More liberal BS? Seems the “libs” were right if it was “rescinded immediately” Perhaps we should have an administration that understands the consequences of its actions before taking them, rather than having “own the libs” as its sole governing principle? How many knee jerk policies have been reversed the past 6 months after the Admin suffered a dose of common sense? And I suspect if this had affected your grandkids you wouldn’t be so glib about it after the fact.
Who cares? I could waste 1/2 my day like the OP does seemingly endlessly and find hundreds of examples by the previous administration.
Like what? What Congressional approved funds did the previous administration hold right before it was supposed to be distributed?
Uh as I posted I have much better things to do with my day than perusing endless articles and gotcha snapshots. More on here should step away from their delusions and have a cold beer.
Funny (hypocritical) since poster hasn't the time to keep current, but has the time to critique a poster that does. As far as delusions... since you state you don't keep up... it is delusional to say the poster that does keep up is wrong/delusional to post what he finds.
You have better things to do than back up your claims, but not too busy to respond to me? Thanks for the good laugh.
You should post evidence of that if you're going to make the claim. Others have backed up their claim with news stories. This is from The Hill, posted five hours ago. Donald Trump's funding freeze risks after-school programs
