Hahaha! People who earn tips or work overtime didn’t donate millions to Trump’s campaign so no soup for them! Suckers!
“Every major health system in Louisiana is warning Speaker Mike Johnson and the rest of the state’s congressional delegation that the Senate GOP’s planned Medicaid cuts “would be historic in their devastation.” https://www.politico.com/live-updat...johnson-of-devastation-from-megabill-00431385
This is absurd, what do these career health professionals know? I've been told that spending would go up, which would clearly help them. The Beautiful bill will give more people more health insurance! (I hear) Just tell them to look at different analyses. Or better yet, to do their own.
Here's a pretty comprehensive article on the shit-burger the Senate foisted upon America. Biggest takeaways for me were permanent business tax cuts, welched on the tip and social security tax exemptions, and bigger cuts to Medicaid. Aling with, of course, a lot of straight up pork. Disgraceful. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/07/01/senate-republicans-supercharge-megabill-00435873
Translation- I have no spine or moral compass and I am putting my own personal power over the needs and interests of my constituents and I hope someone with values bails me out.
Schumer supposedly changing the name, no longer titled “One Big Beautiful Bill” now its “The Act” “Schumer - This is not a beautiful bill. Anyone who loses their health insurance doesn't think it's beautiful. Any worker in the clean energy industry who loses their job does not think it's beautiful. Any mom who can't feed her kid on $5 a day doesn't think it's beautiful. We wanted the American people to know the truth." Schumer forces name change for 'big, beautiful bill' moments before it passes
lol, when you folks read and critique the 1,000 page bill, your comments might be worth being taken seriously. Carry on.
It turns out that very few billionaires make tips or overtime, and that's the demographic that Trump desperately wants to help. You know, to relieve them of their misery. Give them something to live for.
JD Vance says it doesn't matter how many people lose medical coverage. He's still fixated on Haitians eating pets, apparently. Yep, he sure does sound like presidential timber--very relatable, and very electable. Vance refers to the 11.8 million people losing medical coverage as "minutiae". I wonder how many of the 11.8 million would vote for him in 2028? Only tens of thousands are expected to die from preventable illnesses from this policy, so it's not like he's killing off half of the country.
