Not content with stamping his name on sneakers, bibles, guitars, and cryptocurrency, the 45th and 47th president of the United States now wants you to buy his new perfume. "Trump Fragrances are here. They're called 'Victory 45-47' because they're all about Winning, Strength, and Success — for men and women," announced President Donald Trump on his own social network Truth Social on Monday evening.

"Get yourself a bottle, and don't forget to get one for your loved ones too. Enjoy, have fun, and keep winning!"

Retailing for $249 a bottle, and featuring an "iconic" and ostensibly "limited edition" golden statue, the 'Victory 47' fragrances are the latest in a line of Trump perfumes that first went on sale last December.

The women's version is billed as expressing "confidence, beauty, and unstoppable determination", while the cologne is pitched "for men who lead with strength, confidence, and purpose".

The attar of the deal: Now you can smell like Trump as president hawks perfume

You too can smell like dirty diapers and McDonalds for the low price of $249

The grifting just keeps going. I really hope one day we can look back and laugh our asses off about this. Right now I just feel disgust.

We should combine this thread with the one about people being embarrassed to be American right now. This would fit well.

I agree. I also hate when he makes a few $billion off of unregulated cryptocurrency, which definitely scammed people and probably included influence peddling.

It was like when OJ Simpson chopped two people's heads off with a bowie knife. I still loved OJ, and I don't think anything should have happened to him. But I was very opposed to that.

Its like Gene Simmons and KISS were president. No product that they won't market.

I wouldn't call it grifting. Grifting is dishonest, cheating. No one is being tricked out of their money.

But you can't exaggerate how truly bizarre this all is. Even ten years ago, no one would have believed we'd have anything like this going on. Truly disgracing the office.

I assume it's people coming to Trump's people with the ideas, rather than Trump's people sitting around saying "Hey, how about a cologne?" So you have to wonder what they're turning down. I mean, if gold sneakers, guitars and cologne are approved, what in the world is rejected?

makes me laugh how easy it is for something to get the left all up in arms

    A discreet disclaimer
Yet despite the bold marketing, there’s small print. The perfume is not actually made or sold by Trump directly. A note on the site explains: “Trump Fragrances are not designed, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Donald J Trump,” and are instead produced under a branding licence. The vendor promises the line is “not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign.”

You actually read this thread and concluded that only the left is bothered by this?

And you really trying to claim that Trump has nothing to do with this?

Nobody is thinking he has a factory mixing this stuff up and bottling it. Or making guitars.
I already said it’s people coming to him hoping to put his name on their crap.

He is promoting it, he licensed it to profit from it. Is this what you want from your president.. hocking overpriced cologne when he isn't busy selling cell phones?

I presume he licensed his name and gets a big % and why he’s advertising it on TS.

But yes, when he starts using his position as President of our country to peddle cheesy merch, it’s worthy of discussion.
