Ashamed our country could elect someone like Donald Trump.

Sadly, that says a lot about our populace.

Nice picture of our favorite "Haley supporters" on every one of Bill's MAGA bait threads.

Essentially agree but I would use a slightly different phrase to express the same sentiment.
Very, very ashamed of the current president who is single handedly destroying the country and even though it's rapidly fading the support that he still has from a certain segment of the electorate.

It isn't fading fast enough (Though Bluke does seem more vocal in his "Haley support" these days). And for the LCD 30%, it will never fade. They could see a 50% reduction in their standard of living in 12 months and they'd still bow at the alter. . . and blame all their problems on "woke libs".

What's to be proud of exactly? Maybe the people who think this is "sad" should explain what they are 'proud' of?

It's kind of a loaded question. I'm certainly not proud of what this administration is doing and it's pretty embarrassing to travel internationally at the moment. That being said, I'd rather be an American than be a citizen of any other country.

LOL! You mean the majority of people disagree with you and you neither accept it nor like it. Get used to it, dems will be out of power for a significant number of years, maybe decades.

Yeah I believe that's what was said about the Republicans in 2010-12. Our politics do not allow for one party rule for long, too much $ involved. I prefer a split to keep the retards on the left and right from implementing change.

    Is that so?
Donald Trump Voters Are Losing Faith With Trump
    And this is from Fox.
Poll: Trump disapproval rises, majority say U.S. headed in wrong direction

Your last comment reminds me of the Republicans who were forecasting a permanent Republican majority following the reelection of George W. Bush in 2004 keeping in mind that unlike Trump Bush was reelected with a true majority of the popular vote (50.7% for Bush compared with 49.8% for Trump) and by a larger margin than Trump (1.6% for Trump in 2024 compared with 2.4% for Bush in 2004) and that the Republicans had larger margins in both the House and Senate than Trump has now. The Republicans lost both Houses of Congress in the 2006 midterms and in 2008 Barack Obama was elected to the presidency with the largest margin in the 21st century. Even going back to Trump's first term in the 2018 midterms the Democrats flipped the House by a significant margin although the Republicans were able to hold the Senate. By the it works both ways. After Obama's 2008 election the Democrats were predicting a permanent liberal Democratic majority. In the 2010 midterms the Republicans picked up 63 seats in the House.

    1. 36% of Democrats say extremely proud to be American. The 64% is changeable with whomever is in the WH. If this question had been asked 2 years ago, the numbers would have been higher. However, sadly democrats have never been as patriotic as republicans whether in or out of power.

    2. 56% of republicans say extremely proud to be American. 44% are something in between or are RINOs. The 56% is the highest since Gallup first asked this question in 2001. That's a hill the democrats won't see over for many years to come.

    3. The report measured the loss of pride over the last decade. The last I looked, 6 years in the last decade, 8 of the last 12, were during the Obama/Biden Administrations.

I’m certainly not proud of our president.
I’m more embarrassed by the libbies…
But neither define me and I will travel as I always do.
I’ll be neutral and it won’t affect me one iota.

The reason our politics are insane is that we have a Constitution and political system that doesnt make change easy to begin with. We had to fight a war just to end slavery!
