Trump announces cease fire between Iran and Israel (to be phased in over the next 24 hours)

And here's the rub (and the source of my ire and hatred of MAGA), they're going to take "conservatism" down with their Titanic of an administration. We really missed an incredible opportunity with Haley or even DeSantis to make this shift to the right and do it right. And now we're going to pay for it. I mean, we'll be "fine" but MAGA just capped us at "fine" when, in fact, we were set for launch.

This is why I'm keeping receipts and will never forgive them. There truly aren't words to describe how much I hate them. Sorry if that "offends", but I'm just being honest.

Nobody has said the IRA caused inflation. Some have speculated the Biden Covid stimulus increased inflation by 2-3 points. I suspect that is true. You have to weigh that against the counter factual of what would Trump and republicans have done? Do you really think hey would have advocated fiscal austerity? I’m sure they would have had their own 2nd stimulus - maybe marginally smaller.

I’m not saying home improvement came from $1500 stimulus checks and this is a canard thrown about. The $1500 stimulus didn’t ramp inflation. It was the 5 Trillion dumped into the US economy along with ultra low rates and QE to the moon.

Lower interest rates almost always drives the price of homes. People buy based off their mortgage and are willing to spend more because too many just focus on the monthly payment.

 

And it was up to 9% under Biden also….

Ceasefire saved Israel from more catastrophic destruction. Iran got hit hard but it is roughly 80 times larger than Israel with roughly 9.5X the population. Israel cyber hacked Iranian air defence but Iran got it up and running in less than 18 hours.

 

I don't care enough to check your land size difference. However, Iran does not have 95X time the population. Israel has a population of 9 million while Iran has a population of 100 million, just over 11X poor and suffering souls under Iran's tyrannical theocratic leadership.

It was like staying up late to watch football from the west coast or Hawaii, but I did so watch YouTube live nightly reports and live camera coverage of Iran's ballistic missile attacks against Israel.

To say Israel was harder hit is a complete fabrication. Of course, war is hell, but the damage was neither catastrophic nor with high loss of life/injuries even though Iran dastardly only attacked Israeli civilian targets while Israel only attacked military targets.

The cease fire is all that saved the tyrannical theocratic Iranian leadership from regime change which Israel wanted when the last attack was called back at Trump's insistence.

Me? If there is to be real and lasting peace in the middle east, there will eventually have to be a leadership change in Iran. I would have advised Trump to let Israel finish the job on that last night of the 12 Day War, a 13 Day War even better with regime change.

 

My population mistake was a typo which I corrected. Iran's population is roughly 9.5X larger than Israel's (not 95X). Figures I used were Iran 90M, Israel 9.45M

I never said Israel was harder hit. The reality is it was Israel that was in need of a ceasefire. Keep in mind that early on reporters in Israel were prevented from photographing damage done to Israel. Reporters who tried to do so were beaten up as I understand it
