Recent Grad transfer pitchers, Mesiemore, Wooten and Bender had limited IP and were not a factor in my opinion. Hammock had 64 IP with a 4.05 ERA (7.15 over 15.2 IP in SEC play), again in my opinion got too many innings based on her lack of consistency.
I often wondered if these ladies were added to the roster as a courtesy and with hope but limited expectations? I hope Sparkman is the exception!

 

I’m thinking they may have all served a valuable service in preparing our team for the season by pitching batting practice as well, at least in some open practices they seemed to get a lot of work?

It will be interesting to see how Bellaire and Shaw do with their new teams. Wish them the best for sure.
