Supreme Court limits ability of judges to stop Trump

I find it very, VERY disturbing when Presidents from both parties badly wanted this ruling to permit them to issue orders, effecively "ruling" as opposed to defending the law, with fewer and fewer checks on ever widening executive authority. This puts further down the path towards a dictator.

This is a horrible ruling from the Supreme Court and one that both parties are going to loathe in the coming years.

Seems there's a small district judge in Texas that just had his only claim to fame shut down.

I know you think a Democrat may not ever be president although remember 2004 when George W. Bush was reelected by a significantly larger margin than Trump in 2024 and with larger Republican majorities in the House and Senate than those in 2024. There was even talk of a permanent Republican majority. In 2008 Obama was elected to the presidency with the largest margin in the 21st century along with significant Democrat majorities in both Houses of Congress. In 2010 the Republican took back the House in a wave election.

 

Imagine not having a single counterargument so in desperation you attack the poster.

I suspect that whether partisans praise the Opinion or loathe it will be largely dependent on whether it suits their substantive goals.

 

Perhaps read this "obviously unintelligent social media post." Since the inane social media post was hyperbolic and deceitful it was labeled unintelligent.

 

Arrogance will be the downfall of your party. By the time Trump is done with his four years, a corpse could run against the GOP and it would win. Of course, that is if Trump doesn’t make it to where legitimate elections are no longer possible.

 

Communism is the downfall of the dem party.

All 40 have been ruled unconstitutional due to being national in scope, no more judge shopping for national/"universal" injunctions.
