This reminded of a story I heard during his first term about the Pentagon offering him several options and he chose the one they put on the table to make the others seem reasonable. Bet they’re not doing that anymore.

How is Israel launching drones from inside Iran?

Did Israel have anything to do with the drone attack against bombers deep inside Russia? There has been speculation that Israel had something to do with that attack. I wouldn't know. Drones can be launched from containers mounted on trucks as we saw in Russia. Missiles can also be launched from containers. Does Israel have that technology? Don't know.

Torpedos and mines are something the Nimitz has to be able to counter.

As for Iranian drones, I remember reading about them getting close to the Nimitz back when Trump first took office in 2017. The Persian Gulf is a dangeróus place
