He misspoke. It’s OK, actually funny. You twist it whichever way that makes you happy.

So who’s “we” in this rant? So, “we” now at war while MAGA proclaims that Dear Donnie’s just a peace lover?

Good question. We (the people) does not appear to Congress and following the War Powers Act in the “Truth Social” age. Congress is asleep at the wheel of their Constitutional remit. The midterms can’t come soon enough.

Well, hi Die- how's it going on the football board; a lot handringing over losing Shivers?!? Depth may be an issue now at DT. Anyway, I'll be back on when camp starts in August.

For Israel/Iran, I think you're off on your evaluation. Israel is pounding Iran. Shot for shot, I'm guessing it's 99 to 1 for Israel. There are many individual Israeli pilots who've inflicted more damage on Iran than all of Iran has done to Israel.

Why does Trump have all of the smoke for Iran but not Russia?

I ignored nothing, I read the entire report (currently on my desktop). Not sure how it is relevant to the point I was making. The IAEA is not experts in missile technology, ignition circuitry, etc...further, if we are talking about the same report (dated June 9) the IAEA reported that the conversion of Uranium Hexafluoride to uranium metal was still halted and had not be restarted since the 2021 shut down.

You've heard of Ukraine I imagine. You might even stand with Ukraine. You might believe it started when Russia marched into Ukraine.

    So
The most well known and respected ex-CIA analyst on X is probably Ray McGovern. Wiki: "McGovern was a CIA analyst from 1963 to 1990, and in the 1980s chaired National Intelligence Estimates and participated in preparing the President's Daily Brief. He received the Intelligence Commendation Medal at his retirement, returning it in 2006 to protest the CIA's involvement in torture." A group he co-founded is called Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity. McGovern has the ability and temperament to see events from a Russian perspective, which is enough to make many Too Hot commentators collapse to the drawing room floor with a case of the vapors.

Like Sharmine Narwani and me, Ray McGovern warned yesterday of the possibility of an Israeli attack on the USS Nimitz:

The best outcome in Iran would be for the clerics to flee. Russia would take Khamenei.

Short term kinetic solutions are favored by the US and Israel. That leads to failure long term. So Khamenei should not be "decapitated."

The government that will work best for Iran is a monarchy that has one foot in the military sector and one foot in the religious sector.

Should the new monarch be the son of the late Shah, Reza Pahlavi? No. He is not well respected in Iran because he has not suffered as the Iranian people have. Reza takes money from Saudi Arabia, Israel and the American CIA.

Ideally (for long term success) the new monarch would arise organically. He will likely be someone few have heard of before.

When it has become known in the past who a likely new leader of Iran is, that person has been eliminated as a threat to the clerics by Iranian counterintelligence within 6 months or so.

A monarchy in Iran friendly to the West would open up a land bridge to the Central Asian Republics, which are important because they separate Russia from China. Long term Russia will be our ally and we don't want Central Asia to be dominated by China.

(FWIW, X's grip on power might be weaker than Khamenei's. He's been neutered by the CCP and is now just a figurehead).

another ridiculous post...Tucker just has an agenda. Cruz did not say Mossad spies on us, he said they probably do but there is no proof. He said everyone probably spies on everyone.

That’s a good question. And there are some good answers to that beyond a simple “Trump is in Russia’s pocket.” But for the moment, try to look for the good in the situation. You support Ukraine, just like me. Anything that is bad for Iran is bad for Russia, and Russia knows it. The worse things get in Iran, the more Russia is going to have to divide its attention from its strategic main effort and buttress its ally to the south.
