    Right here
I’m guessing that neither the “libs of TikTok” nor the first two posters actually watched the video. This is the actual quote:

“These parameters could limit young people’s access to sexual and reproductive healthcare information on websites that might fall under the definition of obscenity but really be intended for educational purposes.”

It is disconcertingly easy to run to score points instead of actually trying to understand what the other party is trying to say.

Scouring the internet to find a few seconds of something that’s false or incomplete so that you can claim outrage. Is that the culture rot?
Because it sure ain’t the healthy part.

Lol, she specifically mentions the parameters. Sounds to me like she is advocating for specific carve outs so that health related information is not limited by the new laws. Nothing in her ACTUAL quote is what you are trying to imply.

The only culture rot in this thread is your inability to vet your sources and your ability to spread crap information.

She seems to just be saying that these regulations as written may preclude legitimate sources of sexual education in addition to porn. Regardless of the merits of her concern (which I assume neither of us is qualified to evaluate), questioning the proper extent of state censorship of speech is hardly a glaring example of culture rot. It is instead an expression of one of the nation’s most foundational principles.

I think this is the bill. Would it apply to Twitter/X?

    ME - LD1873.

    Bill Summary

This bill requires that a business entity that knowingly and intentionally publishes or distributes obscene matter on a website or software application verify that an individual attempting to access the obscene matter is 18 years of age or older through reasonable age verification methods. The bill prohibits a business entity that performs an age verification of an individual from retaining any identifying information of the individual after the individual's age has been verified. The bill does not apply to a bona fide news broadcast or public interest broadcast, video, report or event. A business entity that is found to have violated the provisions of the bill is liable to an individual for damages including court costs and reasonable attorney's fees, and the Attorney General may bring an action against the business entity for an unfair or deceptive act or practice.

    AI Summary

This bill requires businesses that publish or distribute obscene online content to implement age verification methods to ensure that only individuals 18 years or older can access such material. Specifically, businesses must verify age using methods like government-issued identification or by cross-referencing transactional data, and they are strictly prohibited from retaining any personal identifying information after age verification. The bill applies to websites and software applications and defines a "business entity" according to existing state law. There are important exceptions for news broadcasts, public interest content, and internet service providers who are not directly responsible for creating the obscene content. If a business fails to properly verify age or improperly retains personal information, they can be held liable for damages and may face legal action from the Attorney General for unfair or deceptive practices. The Attorney General is tasked with creating administrative rules and establishing penalties for violations, which will be considered routine technical rules. The overall aim of the bill is to protect minors from accessing obscene online content by mandating robust age verification processes.

I've seen some of the filth the left considers "sexual and reproductive health care information."

How many times is the OP just allowed to post BS videos without consequences? He clearly enjoys being duped, but we dont have to bear witness.

You mean like the video of Democrat Maxine Waters getting the door slammed in her face by ICE while she tries to exert her "Congressional authority?"

Or the video of Maxine Waters standing before the media lying about how there's no violence in the LA riots?

Or the video of the leftist rioter getting arrested for throwing a Molotov cocktail?

Or the video of the rioter getting arrested for illegally handing out face masks.

Or the video of the Senator crying on the senate floor because he was taken to the ground and handcuffed for disrupting Secretary Noem's conference?

Or the video of the Democrat candidate for New York mayor getting arrested for interfering with ICE?

The real reason you don't like my videos is because they expose the indefensible behavior of Democrats.
