That turned out to be a classic (whether we won or lost)? And I mean you were locked in to go and for whatever reason, life “lifed” and you couldn’t make it to see it live in person?
"cock" block. Was supposed to go to the game, some bs happened, and watched it from the lovely Ventura Apartments (no idea if that place still exists)
For me, our first national championship. My friend and his current squeeze tried to convince me and mine to come along with them, but I couldn’t bear the thought of what a weekend in NOLA full of smug Half Ass U fans would be like should St Bobby and and his criminoles pull the same sh*t they had done just weeks earlier… They went and had the time of their lives - and I have regretted it ever since. Caveat – when our Gators got their shot at a second title in Arizona in 2006 (and nobody wanted to go with ME) I went by myself and had the time of MY life
The 1995 Tennessee game when we scored 48 straight points. I was living on the west coast and just couldn’t make that one. I made almost every UF - Tenn game home and away under Spurrier, and still regret missing that one. Those were great times.
Yeah was amazing. I watched it along with the loss a couple weeks before at Doak. A lot of people may not know that missing the Doak loss was a bad one to miss considering the NC! Not to mention the SEC between it. My love for ATL soared!
I missed the LSU game in 08. The Tebow to Percy tip for TD and BSpikes punting the ball in the stands. Wish I coulda been there.
The last home Alabama game. We lost, but, it was apparently a rockin' stadium. We had the flu and had to sell our tix. The price we got for the tickets helped ease my pain, though.
84 vs UGA. My dad came into tix early in the season. He said as long as I kept my grades up he would take me. Well, I didn’t. So he took my little brother instead, who could care less about football. After 6 straight years of disappointment, I was crushed that I missed it.
Lol, maybe i got your tix, they were expensive . We had em on the ropes. Most entertaining loss ive been to.
I had a guy offer me $800 for my tix to see Tebows last game in Tampa. My twelve year old gave me a look that told me ot was a no go.
2006 National Championship Game I'm Glendale Ariz. We lived in San Diego at the time so I was naturally pumped they were playing so close to me. Tickets in hand ready to go and my wife has the audacity to go into labor. Needless to say, I watched from the hospital. I don't let my daughter forget it either
