New York Mets display pride flag during the national anthem

I guess it's that time of the week again

 

I didn't present choices...

 

Well now that I know what triggers them

 

While there is a protocol in how to display a flag during the anthem in the jumbotron, there is no protocol stating what the jumbotron displays during the anthem. The jumbotron often shows the anthem performer(s), crowd shots, and players during the anthem. Showing a Pride flag isn't a big deal, especially during Pride Day at the park.

Now, if an actual Pride Flag was the only flag flying, or was flying above the American flag, different story. But on the jumbotron? Not an issue.

 

A bunch of self righteous people claiming to be more “patriotic” than others? Where’s your home?

 

During which time period(s) do you think America was at its cultural or ethical peak(s)?

 

Ha, 20K people paying zero attention to the NA in real time. At every stadium. I have been to hundreds of games all over the country, always the same.

But some internet warrior is butt-hurt by something that is only a problem in internetbutthurtworld.
