According to documents found in his vehicle he was apparently targeting "pro choice" politicians. You can draw your own conclusion regarding their party and implicitly his current party of preference assuming that he has one.
A hit list was found in the suspect’s car with nearly 70 names, a law enforcement official told CNN. Another official who has seen the hit list said that it targeted “prominent pro-choice individuals in Minnesota, including many Democratic lawmakers who have been outspoken about pro-choice policy positions.”

Setting the heinous acts in this thread aside, you’re going to have explain the “left” being “far more violent” than the “right.” If you’re talking about shooters that is empirically false. If you’re talking about protests I’d love to see data on that.

Not so sure that we have birthed anything new. The fringe of the pro-life movement has been murdering doctors in the name of "pro-life" since the first abortion doctor was killed in 1993 in Pensacola, FL. This is not a recent phenomenon. It is just so much easier to trigger these walking mental defects and zealots these days.

The average Republican or Conservative would be horrified at the thought of murdering another human being. Our problem is that our "fringe left" and "fringe right" are being cultivated, aggravated and increasing in numbers into becoming far too large these days.

So far, he has evaded the joint state police and FBI task force. The FBI now has a $50k for information leading to the arrest of the suspected shooter.

It’s weird you went to Presidential assassination attempts as it’s a very specific violence and there’s much more that’s been happening out there.

Regardless, I’m not sure where you got the 7 number but it’s not accurate. There’s been 18+ Presidents with serious attempts on their lives though some were foiled plots in their making such as Kuwaiti intelligence stopping a car bomb from killing G HW Bush. These attempts have been against both Republicans and Democrats for all kinds of reasons from a Confederate sympathizers upset of slavery’s abolishment to people upset about California’s redwood trees, by a man who thought he was king of England and believed the President was blocking his money to a man trying to impress a teenage Jodie Foster, from Puerto Rican nationalists to Iraqi intelligence, by a man upset his own party didn’t appoint him to a position in Paris to an anarchist, etc.

My favorite story of those is that Teddy Roosevelt gave an hour and a half speech with a bullet in his chest after an assassination attempt and didn’t go the hospital until afterward.

 

Why would anyone limit a definition of violence to one person shooting another? Violence takes many forms, just consider what’s been on the news from LA the last week or so.
