Many people seem to believe that there such a thing as a “regular American” and of course it’s the kind of American they themselves happen to be.

Since bluke is pumping up my ego regarding my quoting powers, I’ll push my luck with one more. This is from a priest via the author Anne Lamont: “You can safely assume you’ve created God in your image when it turns out God hates all the same people you do.”
Military displays like the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds are great for recruitment and a lot of fun. But even putting Trump and his bday aside, a parade of marching doesn’t sound that exciting to me. Maybe they will have some cool stuff up their sleeves.
How pathetically boorish. I support all branches of the military, but have a particular favorite, that of my spouse, Lt. Col. Dynogator, USAF (Ret.)
