We just respect everyone's right to live their life free of prejudice, have equal opportunity, and pursue whatever makes them happy.

The problem is that the groups aren't mutually exclusive nor are they homogeneous, Latinos coming immediately to mind. Cubans residing in Miami are not identical to Mexican-Americans in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas who are not identical to Mexican Americans in California, Puerto Ricans in New York or El Salvadorans living in the Washington, DC metro area.
