Influencers? Dont need that lol. The only reason I miss Twitter sometimes is sports stuff. There are sports people on BS, but not enough team accounts are super active. There are a few UF sports pundits and writers, but I don't think any of the UF sports post much, or at all, for example. National sports is pretty good, if you are into the Mina Kimes, Spencer Hall, Pablo Torre types.

Bluesky's 'lack of diversity of thought' driving users back to X: Mark Cuban

Mark Cuban says Bluesky has “grown ruder and more hateful” and warned that a “lack of diversity of thought” on the platform is pushing users back to Elon Musk’s X, the social network formerly known as Twitter.

The billionaire entrepreneur and longtime tech enthusiast had been one of Bluesky’s most visible champions, but now says the platform’s predominantly left-leaning user base has created a hostile echo chamber where dissenting or even mildly nuanced opinions are met with outrage.

“The lack of diversity of thought here is really hurting usage,” Cuban wrote this week in a series of critical posts.

Was JD Vance posting outright lies on the site? Remember, during the campaign he said that the outright lies he told were OK because they brought attention to an issue.

Also, I'm not sure, but is this different from when Donald Trump got banned from Twitter for telling outright lies? Or did he get banned for inciting violence and starting an insurrection?

Or was it both? I really dont remember ......

But obviously there's a history of sites banning dishonest and/or violent posters. So this easily could just be that. Probably is, in fact, I'd guess.

Bluesky seems to have more tyranny going on in the control of narratives than X had when banning people for daring to say Covid was made in a lab etc and that Hunters laptop wasn't fake news.

 

I deleted mine, but if you, for any reason, click on say a twitter post on our sports recruiting boards, it renews your account all over again. You have to go 60 days or something of not going back in, to be permanently deleted. Actually they don't call it "deleting" they call it inactivating it.

 

Both X and Bluesky trend toward rabid partisanship and name-calling. It's what social media will be remembered for. Why live life when you can waste it calling each other names from behind a keyboard? My name-calling app is better than your name-calling app. Brilliant.
