It's crazy how Israel took all that stuff out. Their intelligence services are definitely the best in the world. I hope most of the Iranians that helped them pull this off got out of there so they aren't killed.

My guess is that the Mossad agents in Iran are most likely Jewish Iranians who have fled the Islamic Republic, moved to Israel and were recruited by Mossad. Farsi is their first language and they understand the Iranian culture making it easy for them to blend in. Somewhat off-topic it's my understanding that the Trump administration terminated a recruitment program by the CIA to recruit covert agents and analysts with similar credentials, i.e. Americans who are native speakers of foreign languages, on the basis that it constituted DEI.

If rumors are correct, Israel was given “bunker busters” and used at least some of them last night.

 

Rumors, again just rumors, are that Israel electronically sabotaged the Iranian air forces, which crippled their ability to retaliate. I have no idea if that is even possible, but at this point, I have trouble doubting anything regards to the cyber-abilities of the Israelies (aided by Iranians who despise the current regime).

 

This is how Trump “negotiates”. And, bluntly, I think Iran got the message. Maybe, just maybe, it will lead to some good and make the world literally a safer place.

My only issue with this tweet is that it directly contradicts Rubio’s statement that Israel acted all alone with no US help. Trump just sold out, again, the integrity and word of Rubio.

 

I think Israel believed Iran had reached the nuclear point to where they had to act or risk them having nukes.

 

I am sure we shared any intelligence with them. I am curious what Israel struck the underground and mountain stuff with though.

 

Probably was waiting to see how things turned out before deciding whether to take credit or distance himself which is certainly the politically astute move.

 

Which is what his point was, we had a deal in place that stopped their program, allowed UN inspectors, etc. Trump killed that deal to show how smart and tough he was, which ended up meaning Iran got to keep the money which was part of the deal, and now had no agreement to stop development and no inspectors.

The absolute worst outcome possible.

While I was mostly kidding earlier, Trump definitely is directly responsible for Iran's most recent progress in nuke development.

 

Well even the inspectors said just the other day Iran was violating that. My guess is Israel knows exactly where Iran is with that. I think Iran has been using some satellite facilities as cover to improve their delivery capabilities also for a nuke once they got it.

 

Bibi has been saying Iran was close to a nuke since the 90s. The US intelligence assessment is still that they aren't building a weapon currently. So either they know something we dont or they are lying about where Iran is at. Talks were set in Oman in a few days for another deal. This is Israel saying you cant make a deal, or at least one they don't approve of. Bibi understood that Trump and Biden werent going to press him, so he's been speed running the right-wing Israeli wish list to prevent his government from collapsing. Now we are in the hands of the religious fanatics of Israel and Iran to not escalate this to the point where the US is drawn in.
