I listen to NPR's first up in the morning podcast and they are advertising for help in protecting their funding.

You're celebrating a cut of 9 billion. Meanwhile they are looking to increase the military budget by at least 70 billion, make middle class tax cuts temporary and wealthy tax cuts permanent.

maga goes for the big announcement and how it will “own the libs” but little info on the impact. this will heavily hit rural areas (and repubs.). Yes, reduce spending just like we should across the board. But eliminating it is stupid.
Dumbing down of our country continues.

Also, don’t let this be a red herring. trumps BBB will increase our already large deficit and add trillions to our debt.

“harmful to communities that have very limited sources of local broadcast news.

Rural communities, often referred to as "news deserts" because of the lack of local news organizations, would suffer the brunt of the pain.

Alabama, a state with an estimated 215 public media employees, would lose as much as $3 million in funding for its public television outlets in the coming months.

In South Dakota, the funding cuts would gut money for at least 20 media outlets, “

Planned PBS, NPR cuts would overwhelmingly hit outlets in states Trump won, report finds

“Local leaders say the cuts would not only deprive their audiences of news and educational programming, but could also lead to a breakdown of the emergency broadcast message infrastructure that is critical for communities with less reliable internet or cellular service.”
