First hit - RBI double https://www.mlb.com/royals/video/miles-mikolas-in-play-run-s-to-jac-caglianone?t=royals-pipeline
Jonathan India homered to start things off for the Royals. Lest we forget that even Jac stood on the shoulders of a National Champion team. Edit: Both Jonathan and Jac are wearing their Gators' jersey numbers, for those keeping score at home. (#6 and #14)
Cags was 4-4 today and boosted his average to .240. India was 3-5 and got the game winning double, in the Royals 7-5 win. Great job by 2 great Gators!
Royals' Caglianone goes 4-for-4 after slow startJac Caglianone posts his first multihit game with Royals - ESPN
Watched a few old highlights and wild how LSU/Jay Johnson blatantly threw at Cags head with zero consequences. And yet Sully yelling at NCAA official is a legit issue that we had to address. If only Ventrell Miller had done some dirty leg twisting to Joe Burrow on the pileups in 2019........
I read somewhere the last KC Royal to have a 4-hit game within his first 10 games as a pro was a guy named Bo Jackson. I'm not sayin'...I'm just sayin'.
Yeah, but he didn't hit three consecutive HRs. And as I always say, as a regular Gator sports fan: Have fun, big guy!
Here is a very interesting article on Cags... very enlightening. It's worth the read. K.C. Royals top prospect Jac Caglianone shines in Arizona Fall League
I'm going to watch Cags tonight on TBS vs Yankees. Supposed to start at 7:40. I'm hoping he hits his first MLB HR. I have a good feeling about tonight.
Rough series against the Yankees for Cags. Am also guessing that it will take some time for him to acclimate to playing RF.
Actually thought he played well in RF and 1B. Announcers in the games I watched said they are confident the hitting will come along.
IIRC he started slow in High A as well. His first game no hits and maybe the 2nd and 3rd as well. His hitting will come along and KC will be happy.
They mentioned during the CWS tonight Cags has like the second most balls hit over 100 mph on the Royals and he's barely been there. He's had some bad luck to say the least. At the same time you learn and get better against the best pitching, as long as confidence is there you need to take your lumps. It really shows how those guys in the show are truly elite, damn wizards pitching.
