Do these idiots not understand that all it would take is for one far-right wing crazy to show up with an AR 15 to blow their rears away to be the cherry on the top of their riots. It's unbelievable the number fools espousing violence who exist on the left.

 

They have often not been identifying either themselves or their agency even when asked. That is precisely the problem. They are wearing masks and not providing identification.

I think number 1 is a lot more complicated than yes or no. I think that ICE agents are often doing their jobs but have also often violated the law. For example, the arrest they made against the Mayor of Newark (in masks) was a clear violation of their authority. The Ozturk arrest in which masked men threw her in a van without identifying themselves properly is another.

I think politicians should continue to call out illegal behavior by law enforcement. ICE should be expected to follow the law. I have yet to see any politician threaten an ICE agent with violence, but, yes, any that theoretically do that should not.

 

The double standard is obvious to anyone remotely aware of recent American history.

And there's nothing wrong with pointing out shameful, laughable hypocrisy.

Or let me guess - if someone were to point out the hypocrisy of Bill Cosby forcefully condemning sexually assaulting women after plying them with drugs ..... you would find fault only with their being "fixated" on the fact that he has literally done that, but worse, himself.

Of course, by now we're very used to hypocrisy from Trump and members of his Administration. And people like you defending it.

She’s encouraging them to commit a federal crime. Once that occurs the feds control the charges and peope who commit them. The state or local govt has no standing to drop or reduce the charges. She’s setting them up for a rough time. Screw with feds under this administration and you will pay a price.

Donald Trump could piss on you and tell you it’s raining and you’d say “Yes sir it is, may I have some more.” You all will never criticize him ever, it’s quite amusing.

 

That is not correct. The President has well-established legal authorities to use not only the National Guard (with or without the support of the state) as well as the regular military to support law enforcement in the event of certain crises. There are multiple historical precedents. But let’s not find out how stupid this could possibly get. Everyone can help turn down the temperature. And, sorry to say, it all starts with, just let ICE do their job under the law. No one has to agree with the law, or that ICE is enforcing it, but no one has a right to physically interfere with them either. Lawful protesting and using the system of courts is not as fun as hurling bottles and firecrackers at federal agents, but it will mitigate this thing from spinning out of control.
