My neighbor went greenworks and I did the same so we can use each others batteries. I now have the mower, weed eater and blower plus a pole saw.
No. Go back and read your original responses to me. You just continue to think you know what's best for other people and what they should do to make themselves happy and fulfilled.
The act of doing something is better than not. Walking or hiking always better than watching or reading about others doing it. Its basic human nature. Stick to economics…it’s more in your wheelhouse.
The electrics are fine but don’t go cheap. Stick with the big name dealer brands and buy the commercial if it’s reasonable. Also, overestimate your battery requirements to give yourself margin and buy an extra battery to keep one of them charged full time.
And guess what? People have limited amounts of time in which they are free to do what they want. So some people might choose to mow their lawns during their free time. Other people might choose to hike or walk or read or write or learn or cook or travel or any of the literally thousands of activities that one could potentially do each day. The notion that everybody has to choose your favored activities to gain fulfillment is pretty absurd.
And I suggest you start a landscaping company, as you will clearly derive infinite self fulfillment from it, the likes of which I can never achieve or comprehend.
That is NOT what I said at all. So glad you joined the conversation. I have zero interest in discussing life matters with contrarians.
You used to be a decent poster. I have become increasingly disappointed with many here. Not sure what anyone is gaining by sticking around. I share less and less about real topics. This place really is just a shit hole for those who like to argue. Have fun.
I went with EGO from Ace Hardware for a small blower, then I needed a weed eater, then a hedge trimmer, a small push mower and lastly a small chain saw. I stayed with the same brand so all the batteries interchange.
I can appreciate the sense of accomplishment many people get from doing their own yard work (or house work for that matter), but I've never found enjoyment in doing routine and repetitive chores.
i'm not sure what other option exists other than mowing your own lawn. I had heard a rumor on here that with the crackdown on illegals you won't be able to hire anyone to mow the lawn for you. Is that not that case or just another example of people being over dramatic?
I've just let Jesus take the wheel on my yard (that's his actual name). I've never asked to see his papers, but I was getting worried a couple months ago when he deviated from his normal schedule.
My daughter loves to mow their lawn. She likes being outdoors, and she finds mowing Zen. Her husband made her tell all the neighbors that it's her choice, and he's not a lazy bum.
I have an electric mower, a weed eater, and an edger. I will only charge the batteries when nearby during the day. Too many lithium battery fires have started in garages and burned down homes.
The wife and I just bought the Ego mower, and the swappable string trimmer and edger set. Been very happy with them. The batteries charge quickly and hold charge throughout. What @antny1 said about registering everything is true though. It's not that hard to register them, but it's vital you do.
