That stat doesn't reflect particularly well on the offense or defense.

Hope he can get it together. He already got paid life changing money, but he can't seem to stay healthy. It would be a shame if his current NFL pattern continues, the Colts will unload him. As a fellow Gator I'm rooting for him. The NFL is incredibly hard on body, mind and soul.
Not everyone, no matter how awesome the combine numbers or how jacked, can physically hold up to competing at the NFL level.

No matter what, AR parlayed what he had in HS and as a Gator into an incredible start in his young life. I understand he is a kind and generous man.
I hope that to be true and I hope if he (wants) to stay in the NFL, he is able to do so.

The defense really... If we score 21 we still should win most of those games. It's a debate that could be more about either the defense or the offense inefficiencies. I would like our defense to take that next step.

If only we improve a TD either direction in our SEC games, it should mean something to our W/L. Last year 3pts better on Defense puts our scoring D better than 25th. 4 pts better on offense 30ish scoring offense. I see that, while that is improvement, we lost 4 games by 13+, so would marginal improvement have made any difference last season? I'm just hoping for meaningful improvement, whatever that turned out to be. We wouldn't care if our scoring offense was at the bottom if our record was 10-2.

It seems like offense has the most room. See the stats above. Our scoring D was okay. A few points better than last season would be great. Offense at 64th could use a little oomph.

Our 3rd and 4th downs need work, yes, but with a healthy Lagway... I think that will take care of itself.

I understand you guys are pointing to key statistical facts about UF last season in an effort to break it all down, make sense of it and
    peer into that crystal ball.

All I can say is, I expect that UF will make a significant leap in offense in EVERY category. Well "positive" categories.
I would hope the defense continues the trend post Texas. I'm a wee bit concerned about breaking in a new punter but special teams should be
    good.

As usual I'm drinking Gator Kool-Aid, but the possibility of taking a significant step forward seems more realistic to me this season.

Hey, it's the summer doldrums and we are doing what we are supposed to do as Gator fans. BTW I just ordered Read and Reactions Gator Magazine.
Will Miles and his buddy (Knudsen or whatever). Those are Gators man, consider supporting them instead of the big national college football mullet wrappers.

There is a big season coming up, UF has weathered three hard transitional years under Napier (not to mention CDM's last year).
It's time to turn the boat in the right direction and compete for something meaningful. I want it to happen. I believe it will happen.
But even a Gatorhead like me has so much patience. Time to rock and roll!

There were a couple games would could have won i think. Sometimes its a game of inches and shit happens. Hopefully luck goes our way this year. Luck, which we cant controll could be the difference in a couple games.

It’s exhausting. I always felt like if I was searching, I was only giving 70% to my current employer. That can’t happen. Now, I’m not saying I just pull the plug and go. I make sure my resume & Link account are updated, bills are paid and have done a little research. Once you throw your name out there and the emails & phone calls start coming …it’s a lot a work. But I still have a commitment to my current employer and team I work with everyday to be on point.

I don’t know how others do it.

To me that shows you are a person of integrity scooterp. But there are different things at play in today’s world when you change jobs. Had a pretty good job early in my marriage but with two children in diapers and one on the way I knew that job was not going to provide adequately for my family. I turned in a two week notice, but didn’t allow myself to job search until the day I formally left that job. I started my job search that following day and came up with 3 jobs by the end of the week: two which looked to be definite upgrades. But times have changed.
In today’s world that would never happen. Almost every worthwhile position is apply for online with multiple phone interviews etc, etc.
Of course, it depends on one’s circumstances too. But unless someone can afford a month or two without a paycheck, you almost have to begin a job search before leaving your current employment. .

He was a well respected and successful Prez at another public university that is on par with us academically and athletically. There will be some checkered pasts with anyone. But he has demonstrated the he can evolve.

This was an awful decision, and I think we just shrunk the pond we’re fishing from by a lot. Many well qualified candidates will not be interested at this point.

This is not a good look

I think it also comes down to your field of expertise. As you build your career in a particular technology, the networks and the players in that field become the pond in which you operate. So unless you’re completely switching fields of competence and starting all over again, you’re not scouring the 3-dimensional universe looking for your next job opportunity. Your next employer may very likely be a company you’ve already worked with — as a customer, a competitor, supplier, or some function you’ve already interfaced with in your past or current job

I gather the BoGs did not consider him unqualified academically, but questioned his record of his handling a matter on campus and his stated views on DEI. My question for anyone with knowledge, had he been approved(?), would the BoGs have any say in his tenure thereafter? I am left wondering who could later remove a University or U of F President?

    I AI'd this:
From my pov, does not seem like Ono presented a significant risk. Maybe others know something I do not. But I do not sense a Trojan Horse, or in this case, Trojan Wolverine.
