As a PSA to some here....when you hear from Scrappy, notexgator, and 1990 Gator, I suggest you listen. These guys know more than most of you do. Doesn't mean they are always right. Nobody is infallible. notexgator and I have gone round and round privately at times. But I respect and listen to every word he says...as I do for the others.
The "funny" guy who has a moniker that is a flat out lie. These guys put their money where their mouth is. A lot. Change the moniker.
I have also been researching Coach Glasco after watching the OU game. He was a joy to watch during the game, his enthusiasm for his players was excellent and I love their offensive attitude (did i get that right? Im still learning). Watching him after the game with Sam Landry was also beautiful, and hearing how she wears Geri Ann's name on her glove, and wore the number 12 for her at Louisiana was really touching. What really pulled me in though, was his post match press conference. He was just really lovely, and he was raw and honest, especially about where they were at the start of the season as to where they were at the end. What he said about Patty and OU, what he said about recruiting Canady, and how he spoke about Sam and then his daughter, he was so respectful of everyone. He seems like just a really great, genuine fella and I'm definitely a new fan of his!
My thoughts exactly and I could not have said it better. Very much a new found respect. And I love his game. He admits it. "I'm aggressive. If it works, I look good. If it doesn't, I don't." Sending a kid in the WCWS to steal home! Balls of steel.

They are cleaning house. I don't think there is a doubt about that. Next year could be tough. We got nothing from that recruiting class. The late add is Leah Stevens who might be a good find and was not really even part of that recruitment. Our 2026 class is top level but they will be freshmen and are a year away.
The obstruction call is just complete and total bullcrap. It has to stop. That wasn't obstruction and jumping off a cliff and assuming it was, my understanding also is per the rule, that if the runner is clearly out by a large margin, obstruction doesn't matter. And they never rule per the rule.
On one of the reddit portal threads, someone said we already have 2 SS from the portal, Kiley someone (I forget) I think and they didn't know who the other was. The thread also said that Mia was promised SS when Skylar left, as it is her natural postion, but as we know, that didnt happen. Both things, if true, certainly explain part of Mia's mum's post. Its reddit though.
I think Walton made the right call here. If her range at 2B is limited, do you really want her at SS?
I agree it does look like Tim is cleaning house. I imagine Tim was not happy with Mia williams mom. I have followed softball since 2010 and have never seen a mom call out a coach with a public post during season talking bad about other players. Even if she deleted it, it has made its way all around the softball community already. I do agree it'll be interesting who we get.
I don't believe in this universe or any universe that Mia was promised the ss job. She has trouble at second. Just because you played short in high school and travel doesn't mean you are a shortstop.
I mean, I did pull a shocked face as I read it lol. Not because I think Mia was terrible at 2nd, because I don't, but SS seems much harder to my eye, which granted is not very good at all! I was expecting Cahalan to come in as SS to be honest.
