The guy who wasn’t a good fit for the Gators had 14 points, 8 assists, 6 steals and 1 turnover tonight as the Pacers advance to the NBA finals.
Respectfully, it made perfect sense for Andrew. He was running what was just about the slowest offense in the country and was taking the blame for it. Quite a few of our posters said he wasn’t a good fit for the Gators. Fortunately, for him, he had the guts to bail out and go to Gonzaga where he ran the fastest offense in the country. Now, when we watch him play for the Pacers, we can see that he’s actually pretty darn fast. He also has become a terrific defensive player.
I never understood why we recruited Tre Mann when we had Andrew Nembhard. Not enough basketballs on the court to have both of those guys on the same team running a Mike White offense. Running one with more ball movement you could have them on the court at the same time.
Just glad the kid got the chance to excel and that with Georgia paying us to hire Mike white (haha), so did we. Mike seems a good man but his shortcomings are put in stark, painful relief when comparing him to his successor.
