IMO, the head scratcher on 3rd / 4th down shorter yardage plays was the slow developing play. i'm in the camp where you call the play get up to the line and execute. No need to have your qb fake a handoff, turn his back to the D and try something that doesn't work. Just do it and keep the momentum going.

    At my age/today I agree with you…
But I had season tickets for 33 years and for the first 20 or so I felt spritely enough to enjoy sweating through those victories
(The wimmin-folk also dressed appropriate to the temperature/humidity which made the experience more enjoyable as well:emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

But sweating at the miami game and paying big money for the experience was not worth a dime last year.

TV will always require the games to be spread throughout the day. They need to maximize viewership and having all their games in a condensed (night) timeframe doesn’t do that. Don’t think they are as concerned about fan comfort as $.

They could look out for players though.

Nice optimistic preseason article, with an out. Lets see if the staff can at least get us into the playoffs. I would have more confidence that we would make the playoffs if the staff had shown they can consistently manage games and the offense was equipped to score in two minutes when we need it. The RZ efficiency needs to be better at converting TDs. It's likely that more than DT depth, Callaway's influence will be a factor. Is he just calling Napier's plays, or adding something meaningful to our arsenal?

If we remain 64th-ish in scoring, our Defense will have to be stellar.

So true. That feeling of, just hike the ball it looks like you and our offense are confused would be nice to not experience.
