I don’t really care about proving anything, just wish people would quit writing articles using definitive terms when they have nothing to back up what they’re saying and that people would quit parroting these no source having jackasses. Cite an actual source or stfu…or I ain’t clicking. This whole entire sportswriting market is based on clickbait and rumors.

 

You cant verify private information but we get a pretty good idea whats going on if you take a happy medium of all the info bouncing around.

 

If you can’t verify it, then what you write is no better than forum fodder, which is my point. I trust some of the members here a whole lot more than any of the clickbait clowns.

 

All about the same i guess. I do trust here as much as anywhere, especially if one hear says they heard it through the grapevine.

 

Reputable news outlets used to require verifiable sources, usually more than one, before running an article. Unfortunately I don’t think there is such a thing as a reputable news outlet anymore. I don’t think repeating forum fodder is newsworthy, or paycheck worthy…especially if you’re going to put zero effort into verifying the fodder before you plaster it all over the internet.

 

I enjoyed Waters interview with Napier. No sensationalism and bs for clicks, just real talk.

yes and no. Some players - as confirmed by Kirby - who are committed are getting 20,000 a month to stay committed so committing early can get you paid now vs waiting. Hell, I bet many are taking money now and then will switch by signing day for an even bigger pay day.

 

That's where collusion comes in. If the boosters participate in this type of activity, they are encouraging it. They may want to have some honor among thieves

 

A team like Oregon might not even put a refund provision in the NIL and just want the exposure that having multiple 5 stars committed could encourage others to join the greatest class ever.
