Yep, I've always thought soft tossing junk throwing lefties were the toughest to adjust to after seeing 90+ fastballs. Everybody screws themselves into the ground trying to kill the ball. We need to just put the ball in play and see if they can play defense. They couldn't vs Coastal.
It used to drive me bananas when my players would come in the dugout after a bad approach / AB and say "hes throwing too slow". LOL
Agree. Mike Martin used to do that when FSU played us in midweek games = throw soft toss, crafty junkers and it worked a lot.
My guess on the ask from their coach was "Jeff, can you just make something up here like you're great at to get me out of this?"
