https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/05/28/hhs-moderna-bird-flu-vaccine-funding/ This is just flat out idiocy. I would think even Trump would recognize this. The Department of Health and Human Services is pulling millions of dollars it had committed to give Moderna to aid the effort to develop a vaccine to combat the bird flu in humans, the company announced Wednesday. Under President Joe Biden, HHS had announced its intent last summer to award$176 million and then a subsequent $590 million in January to Moderna amid an outbreak of bird flu in dairy cattle. The virus has infected 70 people since last year, and federal health officials had previously described the effort as critical to strengthening the country’s pandemic preparedness. The company was developing vaccines using messenger RNA — the same technology used in the most commonly administered coronavirus vaccines hailed as a major medical achievement during the first Trump administration. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been critical of mRNA vaccines, and this week he announced that the coronavirus shots would no longer be recommended for healthy children and healthy pregnant women. The termination reflects ongoing tensions between Kennedy and medical experts who say the vaccines have been proved to be safe and effective. On Wednesday, Moderna announced that it had received positive interim data about immune response and safety from an early-stage clinical trial of roughly 300 healthy adults ages 18 and older. The move by HHS throws the future of the effort into uncertainty, and the company said it will explore alternatives for late-stage development and manufacturing of the vaccine.
And some anti-vaxxers regretted not getting vaccinated. Covid-19: Not getting vaccine jab was mum's biggest regret Emily Burrows, 47, was admitted to hospital with dangerously low oxygen levels and tested positive on 23 July. She pleaded with staff to give her the jab but was it was too late and instead she was put on a ventilator. Patient Shares Harrowing COVID-19 Battle and Urges Vaccination | AHA A raspy voice from an ICU bed narrates the scene: “The cough is ungodly … unbearable … makes you think you are going to pass out, lose conscious[ness] … you are so dizzy, lightheaded and confused.” Travis Campbell, the man behind the voice, shared his harrowing battle with COVID-19 on social media for many weeks. In another scene, a visibly tired Campbell struggles to speak as he receives supplemental oxygen, warning others to choose a good doctor and settle their affairs if they choose not to be vaccinated. Campbell, a 43-year-old father from Bristol, Va., was unvaccinated when he was admitted to Bristol Regional Medical Center, a Tennessee hospital that’s part of Ballad Health. In a post on July 25, Campbell wrote, “I have never been this sick in my life!! My whole family has COVID. I truly regret not getting the vaccine.” Although he believes he likely infected his wife and children, their symptoms were not as severe — a testament to how varied COVID-19 infection can be from person to person. Campbell also figured he was less likely to contract the virus because he lives in a rural area. They Spurned the Vaccine. Now They Want You to Know They Regret It. PROVO, Utah — As Mindy Greene spent another day in the Covid intensive care unit, listening to the whirring machines that now breathed for her 42-year-old husband, Russ, she opened her phone and tapped out a message. “We did not get the vaccine,” she wrote on Facebook. “I read all kinds of things about the vaccine and it scared me. So I made the decision and prayed about it and got the impression that we would be ok.” They were not. Her husband, the father to their four children, was now hovering between life and death, tentacles of tubes spilling from his body. The patient in the room next to her husband’s had died hours earlier. That day, July 13, Ms. Greene decided to add her voice to an unlikely group of people speaking out in the polarized national debate over vaccination: the remorseful.
I just wish we could go back and interview these people today after the whole thing played out. Posting articles about people in the midst of one of the largest propaganda campaigns in human history is not very compelling!
So I can’t get a bird flu vaccine? Can into least buy masks although not sure how useful it will be since I haven’t seen any birds flying around with the flu
The mRNA vaccine operates in the exact same principles of all vaccines. Before the mRNA vaccine, scientists had to isolate a variant of the virus with the right mRNA strand that wasn't virulent. This often took years and years of injecting chicken eggs with viruses and waiting for the right mutation to occur. There was also inherent danger in using this technique. The live virus used for the vaccine could potentially mutate back into a virulent strain, which was rare, but not unheard of. The mRNA vaccine is safer. Instead of using a virus, it simply injects the portion of the virus, the mRNA strand, that triggers the body's immune response. No live virus needed. And all vaccine materials leave the body within 12 hours of the shot.
Imagine being able to fly, while having the flu. If I get the flu, my ass is relegated to the bed for a day or two at least.
The amount of high fiving ignorance in this thread, while not unexpected, just never ceases to amaze me. Entire zombie cult of 80M in this country proud of being ignorant and hell-bent to try and drag the rest of the country down with them. Disgusting.
And? Are you telling me that all the people that died with covid had taken the shot...would have survived? That they would not have gotten covid? That their symptoms would have been lessened? Those articles were written at the height of the propaganda and hysteria. You do not think there is any bias in the thought process?
For about the nineteenth time, there is no such thing as Covid-19. No new disease. No unique symptoms. No remarkable autopsies. SARS-CoV2 never isolated. People are allowed to die of age-old causes.
Will the big cult stop beating up on the little cult ? I’m talking about the vast majority of Americans, both parties, who hold to the medieval belief that an errant sneeze can kill Grandma and that our bodies were created with profound deficiencies and so health must be injected. Also, no such thing as Bird Flu either … Avian Flu – ViroLIEgy
Every scientific study shows those vaccinated in time had lower rates of illness, lower hospitalization rates, and lower mortality rates. Would all have been saved by the vaccine? We'll never know fire sure. But many would have been saved, for sure. It's only the result of every single scientific study on the subject of COVID vaccine efficacy.
Every such study is subject to manipulation as I have covered ad nauseum. But the Big Red Easy Button (to explain the fraud) is that there was never any scientific evidence of anything to vaccinate for.
