She is in big trouble, and I'll bet they nail her husband too.

Yes. But that does not change the fact that they did not hire Steele while working for Rubio. They did it with the go ahead of the Clinton Campaign. Why do Democrats always bring that up like it is some sort of Get out of Jail Free card for Fusion GPS?

All of this does not really matter. The statue of limitation for lying to Congress is five years and we are well past that.

while the statute of limitations may have run out, it is important to expose the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth

    Somewhere in Time
Ahhh, that bastion of journalistic integrity: The New York Post

Thank God we never saw Trump's campaign manager end up in prison due to his providing polling data to Russians, never saw President Trump on his knees fellating Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, never saw him ask Putin to dig up dirt on political enemies, never saw him tell our cybersecurity not to focus on Russia, never saw him admit he helped Putin avoid terrible things, never saw his family admit their business revolved around Russia, never saw him do a million things related to Putin with our own eyes, but please, go on embarrassing yourself with the assertion he never colluded with Russia to win an election.

FYI - no Russian intelligence source mentioned by the Steele dossier ever died mysteriously after its dissemination, right?

Wait, who was President in September 2019, when this supposed document was produced? Shouldn't you be saying "Trump's DOJ does nothing?" Perhaps, it is because the gap between "probable cause" and "guilt beyond a reasonable doubt" is quite wide. DOJ has to prove that she was aware of a specific investigation at the FBI (which has a legal definition) without using spousal communications. Doesn't seem like they had the evidence to charge, much less convict.

    According to Grok:

The DOJ had sufficient evidence, as per the 2019 FBI analysis, to charge Nellie Ohr with false statements (18 U.S.C. § 1001) and obstruction of Congress (18 U.S.C. § 1505) based on her 2018 testimony. The evidence included contradictory emails, deleted communications, misrepresentations about her ham radio training, and broader dissemination of her research than she admitted. However, the DOJ declined to prosecute, possibly due to prosecutorial discretion, political considerations, or incomplete evidence due to FBI internal restrictions.

Yes, DOJ declined to prosecute. Would you like to ask Grok who was President and AG in 2019?

That is strange...why did Donald Trump appoint somebody who "despised him?" Also, why did he protect the guy who he "despised" by setting up a special counsel that was dramatically unsuccessful in investigating the investigation into the ties between Trump's campaign and the Russian government?

Barr's contempt for Trump didn't become apparent until later.

Oh. Interesting. So...given that is the case and that the DOJ tried to obtain perjury convictions against multiple other people involved in the case (successfully once and unsuccessfully several times), it would seem like this "bombshell" headline follows along with most headlines with "bombshell."

I remember telling Democrats on this board that they should be thankful Barr was the adult in charge at DoJ because they would not like who came after him. Now they would love it if Barr was back as AG.

Up until late December of 2020 Barr was another enabler of Trump. Trump's continued denial of the results of the 2020 presidential election and the Donald's attempt to prevent the certification of the election was the proverbial straw the broke the camel's back. Let's not forget that it was Barr who delayed the release of Mueller Report in its entirety and tried to blunt Mueller's analysis by releasing a slanted summary of the report first.

    This guy despised Trump?
