Perhaps you should relook at your definition of MAGA

I was simply pointing out the inherent differences of someone who has legal status here versus ones who don’t. One could be for the enforcement of immigration law and still non-hypocritically support clemency action toward citizens. The two ideas aren’t mutually exclusive. A flaw so often deployed in attempt to paint Trump supporters into a corner. As if one necessarily begets the other.

Their leader is a literal felon, lol. As long as you’re rich, white, Christian, and straight you’re free to commit as many crimes as you want. Rules for thee not for me.

Of the 8,064 pardons and commutations that Biden issued approximately 6,500 were for simple possession of marijuana. Context matters.

So 1500 and some change. Point is some of those 1500 probably did crimes at least as worse as these people so why start a thread on this unless you can show your threads you posted when Biden did the same (and “you” isn’t actually you)

"At least as worse," huh? Like his pardons for people who violated the laws against consensual gay sex?

It's also not as if Trump is pardoning people who had unusually harsh sentences and had served a reasonable amount of time. He's pardoning people immediately after they're being found guilty and sentenced.

I would also add that as a condition of receiving pardons recipients of presidential pardons normally show contrition for the crimes with which they were convicted. Almost all of the recipients of Trump's recent pardons have portrayed themselves as victims. Under procedures that have been around for decades applications for pardons and commutations were required to be cleared through the DOJ's pardon office. Since Trump was elected politically well connected criminals have been able to circumvent the process and go to the front of the line.

Not surprised by this at all. Two fraudsters…shocking

I guess he should try the preemptive route too.

While I don't think that Biden should have commuted his sentence keep in mind that he was under house arrest when Biden issued the commutation which I assume means that he was confined to his home and was required to wear an ankle monitor. What he did was truly despicable and sadly it was not a completely unforeseeable consequence of the private prison system or in his case specifically private juvenile detention facilities. Somewhat off-topic for this thread, detention and incarceration are governmental functions. They shouldn't be contracted to private for profit corporations and that applies whether the facilities are prisons, detention facilities to house undocumented immigrants awaiting deportation or detention facilities for juveniles.

A little on the backstory to the Chrisley's pardon. Their daughter Savannah is a social media influencer and also had her own reality television. She requested the pardon and managed to persuade Trump that her parents who are apparently conservative Republicans were victims of a weaponized DOJ (like Trump himself) and that they were prosecuted based on their political beliefs, not for their very real crimes.
“Due to our public profile and conservative beliefs, they accused my parents of fraud, when really we were defrauded by a dishonest business partner,” Savannah Chrisley said on stage. She said that the partner was granted immunity in the case.

Federal prosecutors said the scheme to defraud Atlanta-area banks went on for years and happened before Todd and Julie Chrisley became reality TV stars.

With the help of a former business partner, prosecutors said, the couple submitted false bank statements, audit reports and financial statements to get millions in loans.
