Would be great, but hard to envision at this point. It is "show me" time tho.

 

Its not hard for me to envision but five losses are just as likely. . Is it seven opponents in the top 15? Are we better than A&M and ole Miss or not. Maybe we are 10-2. Everyone has competent staffs and talent. Noone will just lay down and then there is pire luck and bs calls. Theres a long season ahead with a ton of uncertainty. Lets go.

 

We wont, though I really hope we do, because Billy Napier will make critical play calls in close games.

 

Or players will just be talented and beat the other team, no need for magic if you win the trenches.

 

No more snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! 10-2!

 

This will be first year Napier gets a warmup game. I believe it’s a huge deal. We’ll see if he makes the most of the opportunity.

 

Better be ready

 

If we stumble around against either of the first two opponents, things could get ugly fast.

 

Hopefully we wake up by game three or so

 

Personally, I'm confident we'll do just fine. I also highly doubt that we'll be anywhere near perfect. But some others here have a reservoir of pent-up frustration with the last three seasons that will overflow its banks at the first questionable play call or the first truly bone-headed sideline snafu. For others looking to burst the bubble for the DJ is "that guy crowd" it'll be a full-blown cataclysm if DJ misses an "obvious" read or throws an ugly pick - no matter how well he does overall or whether we even win the damn game. Such is life in Gator Nation.

 

Its been tough for a long stretch. Trask was tge last time it eas really fun to watch and we still had a weak run game and subpar defense. I'm just hoping for a solid team that can win eight games. Nine or 10 would be pretty sweet.

Since when is 9-3 or even 8-4 considered "mediocre?"

 

Well Pre-Spurrier and back in the "eighties" it was considered a great season...just not a championship one.

 

I could've lived with last year's eight and four if we didn't get completely embarrassed and sucked so bad. The record was OK but our first part of the season, inexcusable
