Top of 9th, Texas with a 2 out triple off CFers glove. Tough play but Falby would have made the over the head catch. Horns don't capitalize and neither does Clemson. On to the 10th. If Texas wins, gonna be some tired pitchers tomorrow. Horns using their ace in relief for awhile now. Texas wins in 10, 7-5. On to game 3. Wonder if Tavan starts for Texas, over 200 pitches in the 2 games. Of course the 2 Clemson girls have around 150.
When Texas played in KSP, Kavan was the Texas pitcher who beat us twice in the Saturday double header, pitching more than 4 innings in both games. She was the starter in the first game and was a reliever in the second game.
Yep - I think Clemson's best chance was last night and they didn't take advantage of a couple of opportunities to walk it off. I'm hoping for a Clemson win today, but will be surprised if Texas doesn't win. And Kavan will see the circle again. The great ones can throw and throw. Canady pitched all 14 innings of Texas Tech's win over FSU and if there had been a 3rd game she would have pitched that one as well.
Jordy Bahl just might be the best two way player in the history of college softball. She is currently batting .475 with 23 homeruns and an ERA of 1.50. When she played for Oklahoma for two years Gasso only let her go to the plate 40 times. Per ESPN part of the deal going to Nebraska was she would be a regular batter as well as pitcher. If Nebraska gets out of this super regional, they would open their WCWS against Gasso and company. That would be epic.
South Carolina = biggest choke so far. Starts the 7th up three runs. Down to last out. UCLA hits walk-off homer. SMH
Yep pItching change with 2 outs didn't work out. I'm sure coach and fans are second guessing the decision.
