By: Nick Marcinko -- May 22, 2025 The Florida Gators basketball team has put together quite the offseason after bringing home the programs third National Championship on April 7th. Since then, head coach Todd Golden and his staff have landed two highly touted guards in the portal in Princeton’s Xaivian Lee and Arkansas’ Boogie Fland, who ranks as the 4th best guard in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports. Florida also added Ohio’s AJ Brown, an efficient scorer that should help the Gators’ offense space the floor. While the additions Golden made to the team seem promising, there’s still one more huge piece to the puzzle, the return of Alex Condon. Todd Golden remains ‘cautiously optimistic’ on Alex Condon’s return | GatorCountry.com
Condo has got 4 workouts, then he will make his final decision. It's looking more and more like he's coming back though. He is super close with Haugh and I think he would like to play with him one more year.
I keep getting stories that Condon is coming back on my phone but every one of them is just talking heads saying whatever talking heads say. Mostly click bait. I will let the man do his due diligence and make a smart decision. Maybe he comes back and maybe he doesn't. Either way he is a great Gator.
Yeah, everyone out there with an internet connection is an expert now. All you gotta do is regurgitate whatever anyone else is saying, or just make crap up and post it. There are only a select few that I pay any attention to now, and they're the guys with actual in-depth knowledge and experience in the game of basketball. Not pimply mom's-basement losers.
HE'S BACK!!!! Alex Condon is pulling out of the 2025 NBA Draft and returning to Florida for his junior season, Swamp247 has learned. With Condon's return to Florida for the 2025-26 season, the Gators return a critical component of the team's national championship-winning team, joining forward Thomas Haugh in returning to Gainesville for head coach Todd Golden's fourth season with the UF program. Condon announced his intention to test the NBA Draft waters shortly after Florida's 65-63 victory over Houston in San Antonio, which secured the third title in UF men's basketball program history, though he retained his collegiate eligibility and stated he would only consider the Gators if he were to return to the collegiate ranks. The 6-foot-11 forward from Perth, Australia, traveled to Los Angeles to prepare for the NBA's pre-Draft Combine, where he looked to continue rounding out his game. https://247sports.com/college/flori...rning-to-florida-for-junior-season-249921451/
Well, not really. But since you made the correct decision, everything is hunky dory. Play time is over. Time to get cranking. I wonder where we are going to fit the next year's NC trophy? Things are getting crowded in the case...
