Whole lot of nonsense on here. As someone who is close to this team and was also close to Flor I gotta say pay no attention to the noise on Volleytalk. That is made up of Gator haters trying to belittle our team. I know why Flor left and I am not going to hash it out here. God bless this young lady and I hope for nothing but the best for her. I may be reporting on the team more in the coming days. They are a cohesive group with a lot of good will shared with each other and the staff. They are so competitive and happy to be around each other. Always smiling. Always striving. And with the team always first. .
Thank you, robboy1. That is such hokum. You cannot fake the happiness on this team. Speak with Amaya, who is in her fourth year here. There has never been a whisper. And to say Stuckey or Parks was involved is ludicrous.
The VB team is winging its way to Europe. Their trip includes stops in Maribor, Slovenia, Istanbul, Turkey, Venice, and Milan, Italy. They will play matches against pro teams.
3rd set won 25-17. Taylor was the winning factor. Paying 2 more sets. Alexis, Madi and Amaya playing now. So much fun watching these girls play and give it their all for each other.
Sounds like Jordan is as advertised! The best thing I see is Madi playing. How about Kira? Thanks, robboy1.
thanks for these updates. are the videos available? Which pin was Byrd playing? are you able to say the starting lineup? thanks.
Thanks guys. This trip is incredible because of the amount of activity. These young ladies leave the hotel at 9 AM and are on the go traveling and walking all day when they are not playing. Volleyball is huge here and has a following just like football and basketball in America. Kira is on the left and not swinging but she is so smart that she gets repeated kills by placement of the ball. Fun to watch. My favorite set was the last set that we lost because we played a 6/2 with both Taylor and Alexis feeding to each other. Why was it my favorite you ask if we lost? This set demonstrated the love these girls have for each other. They are always laughing and staying together often arm in arm. Taylor and Alexis epitomize this team’s closeness. They begged Ryan to let them be together just once and he complied. Taylor played the first 3 sets and Alexis the last two. With both being substituted during all sets. All players played. Madi is also out there for the last 2 sets but not swinging. But she is smart in placement just like Kira. Both Kira and Madi will be swinging in the fall and Dee will be joining them. Emerson has continuing problems but don’t count this smart young lady out either come the fall when she will be on the team as a graduate. I have told the girls how palpable the love is between them and I am looking forward to actually seeing them lose against the pros coming up on the schedule. I want to see if their close bond remains when they are getting hammered and surely they will. They just smile at me almost winking and say wait and see. Oh by the way, remember last year when we couldn’t pass the freaking ball. We are PASSING! Can’t tell you how happy this old guy and his wife are around these young ladies. That is it, Goodnight!!!!
