(SB) Ongoing UF Softball Commentary

Do you think there will be some nervous fans at Davis Diamond (A&M) today. A&M has to beat Liberty twice. A number one seed has never failed to make it to the Super Regionals. Wouldn't that be something.

 

Let me expand on the above. Since 1985 only two number one seeds have ever lost just one game at the regional level.

 

Does anyone know why Red would not start before using Kara who has the highest era and why would you start her anyway?
Did anyone else feel Keegan should have been relieved earlier in the inning?
Should Ava be our number 1 starter?

 

The duo I like best is Keagan for 4-5 innings, and then bring in Ava.
Yes, I do think Keagan could have been relieved sooner.
Leave her in if she is doing well. If she pitches 4, and we are ahead, she gets the win.

 

While I keep hoping for an epiphany, should Ava start and Keegan relieve?

FSU and Auburn move to the must win final game.

 

Mizzou already being hit by the portal losing their top reliever and #2 arm and their leading HR hitter from this past season.

 

I wish I read this before the game cuz I would have looked for Red. I think she's only pitched about two batters since the LSU meltdown. I was hoping that she was just in CTW doghouse. Terrible time for an injury.

 

Last night UC Santa Barbara wins 7-5 and eliminates SDSU. With that loss Cali Decker college career comes to a close.

 

Talking about former Gators, Sam roe career is over as well. Lexi delbrey announced on insta she will come back for a 5th year to Louisiana after not pitching this year

 

Auburn has left 7 runners on base through 4 innings. Down 0-2.

 

That’s such a terrible slide by the Auburn player at 3rd.

Wasn’t our softball team supposed to suck according to some on this board? Just trying to see if I should be glad for the girls that they are doing well or mad because whatever smart people are thinking is messed up is being overlooked.

Anyone talk about Jocey essentially man-handling the home plate ump to make that catch today? Probably one of my favorite moments from this weekend. Well… that and accidentally taking a shot in the grove when I happened to be there to deliver something to Ms. Cathy right before the toast lol.
