Am I mistaken, or did this board use to suffer from enjoy a certain poster repeatedly posting Psalm 108:9, when Obama was president?

Certainly this could be construed as imploring a violent or nefarious act be done to a sitting President, no?


Psalm 109:8 states: "May his days be few; may another take his office." This verse expresses a desire for an enemy to have a short life and to have their position taken by someone else.

Those of you attempting to frame this in the eyes of a former restaurant entrepreneur are betraying the fact you understand what this really meant. This is a former FBI director. If the post was so innocuous, why did the former FBI director remove it? You would think a former FBI director, of all people, wouldn’t be in need of deleting social media posts for fear of self-incrimination.

"I posted earlier a picture of some shells I saw today on a beach walk, which I assumed were a political message," Comey's second post read. "I didn't realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me but I oppose violence of any kind so I took the post down."

 

I don't think there are any actual people that associate it with violence in good faith (just people looking to be mad), but that was probably the best way to handle it

 

Plenty of “8646” out there. As well as decals for the back of pick up trucks showing Biden bound and gagged. So is Krasnov going to prosecute those clown as well?

 

It would be interesting to see how many of his past social media posts included photos of "interestingly arranged shells on the beach". If this is something he's done on a regular basis, then I could see this being an innocent matter. However, if he hasn't then I think it's reasonable to be a little skeptical of his explanation and apology.

 

I feel like there are a lot of sheltered people out there. 86 is also used as slang for being fired. I've heard it in multiple industries at multiple employers in multiple states. As someone who used to be responsible for lots of firing, employees would refer to someone being axed as "86'd." I never used the term then because as the person doing the firing, it seemed too casual. But when I wasn't the one with the juice, we used it amongst each other all the time. "Hey, Bob got 86'd." That certainly didn't mean Bob had been murdered.

 

Obama was a traitor.He deliberately made America weaker to achieve political objectives. Trump is the opposite. I'm pretty sure I know how most Dem posters here would feel if Trump was assassinated.

 

Comey is one of maga world's favorite bogey men. They'll ranting about this for years.

Agreed. I can see posters here having such a low opinion of Comey that they truly believe this negative interpretation, but Noem virtually certainly is using this fuel the hatred war.

 

my guess is Comey thought he could be cutesy and get away with his remark. Comey is not stupid, so when he found that it was blowing back in his face, he deleted it and gave a weak excuse. He was in the FBI for a long time so he knew damned good and well he was flirting with disaster
