Did Bruce ever disavow his allegiance to Communism?

 

I was a fan of his music….In Jr high.

VN was a 'failure' if you look at it as its own war... it was merely a lost battle in a successful war, when you put it in its proper context--it was a battle front of the cold war, which we won.

NB--we lost plenty of battles in WWII and the Civil War--we don't call those "failures"--we simply own them as lost battles in wars we won.

We fought like hell in VN to stop the advance of communism, which helped in the greater war of attrition which ultimately was what caused the Soviet Union to collapse, which in turn, largely put an end to the spread of communism.

A costly dub, but a dub nonetheless, when nothing less than the world was at stake.

 

Springsteen has always had such a uniquely varied singing style. His middle of the road style is like "Hungry Heart," but he also sings like he's either asleep ("I'm on Fire") or trying to push a brick out of his ass ("We Are the World").

 

This is why we all laugh at you. You all would be all over Springsteen if he was on the right, but because he’s not, you have to prop up mediocre talents like Ted Nugent. Hilarious. Not our fault actual talented, Hall of Fame caliber musicians are staunchly against your party and what they stand for. Maybe try picking the side that doesn’t actively suck for once and being on the right side of history.

 

Do you think that having multiple kids with different women was the most problematic of all of that? Not the having sex with minors part?

I caught Springsteen in Balto last summer. Was a tremendous show- opened with Hungry Heart.

I think it's sad how Trumpers have to hate so many world-class artists, in order to stay perfectly faithful to their felon reality show con man.

To be fair though, I've made a few sacrifices myself. I no longer play my Kid Rock albums on loop at the gym or while I cycle. And I've stopped hosting my all night Charles in Charge viewing parties.
