    Lacrosse Big XII champ merch is available, and other than being a fan of our lacrosse team, it's worth noting that UF has won the Big XII in the only season it has ever competed in; meanwhile, our friends from the central part of the state are looking for their first title (of course, any title is only a declaration away). [EDIT: I've recently learned that they just split the women's tennis title 3 ways for their first Big XII title]

    As for seeding, FLORIDA is the overall #4 slated to host #5 Virginia (if seedings hold) on 5/15 (same day as Game 1 for baseball vs. Alabama; hopefully they can coordinate the times for that). Before that happens, however, FLORIDA has to win their first weekend against Mercer and then the winner of Denver/Stanford. If that happens, the game against #5 Virginia (or James Madison/Duke/LIU) will be to advance to the Final Four.

    Our old friends unc in the final 4 if uf gets there. Fell a little behind early and never caught up in the regular season match.

    One day we'll break through and win it all. Surprisingly excellent year by the Gators considering all the talent they lost off last year's team. They won several tight games early and then just got better and better.

    Yeah, there were plenty of scares early....seemed like a down year. But playing well of late

    I almost literally ran into the lacrosse team in downtown Boulder Friday night. Gave a "Go Gators" to a couple of young women wearing Gator gear, then a couple blocks down the entire team was leaving an Italian restaurant* and getting into the team bus. That was fun. Hope the two girls I saw earlier were able to make it onto the bus, come to think of it.

    *Not a great one. Solid garlic bread, though.

    #4 FLORIDA vs. #10 Stanford at 12:30 PM 11:00 AM on Sunday. Stanford has beaten both Virginia and Syracuse away from home. Should be a tough match. Hope we can get a Thursday home game vs. either Duke or Virginia (they play at 1PM on Sunday).

    Nice win today against Mercer. Started off slow and then let the clutch out; 18-6 final.

    Floridagators.com and ncaa.com shows the Stanford game at 11 am Sunday on ESPN+. Stanford beat Denver 10-4. That's a tough match for a 2nd round game. Gators getting no breaks here. All the top 8 seeds are still playing.

    Thanks, brother. At the time I posted it, GATORzone didn’t even acknowledge a next game on the schedule and the NCAA bracket was reflecting the 12:30 time. Glad you posted that, I may not have checked otherwise!

    Tight match with Stanford....uf has been up 1-2 goals most of the day. Currently 8-7 mid 3rd

    Florida was ahead 12-9 in the 4th and gave up 3 straight goal. UF timeout with 2:09 left, 12-12 score.

    Double OT win for the Gators!!! Final 8. Gets tougher and tougher, but you gotta give Amanda O'Leary a ton of credit for basically rebuilding last year's Final 4 team and getting them this far once again.

    Great win!!! - looks like we play the winner of Duke vs #5 Virginia on 15 May in quarters Duke currently leading. So that means one more win and we are in Final Four again?

    Stanford goalie mishandled a shot and essentially knocked the ball back into the goal. The ball barely crossed the line, but was enough. Great win!
