This doesn’t explain why, but perhaps you mean by obstructionist, someone nominated by a different president? In which case, I guess you would want the next democratic president to fire all of Trump’s appointments too.
Transcription now available of the conversation: Mr Morse: “Mr President, we need to discuss the issue of the head librarian of the Library of Congress.” Trump: “Is she hot? Does she ware a pair of those dark rimed glasses that make her look smarter than she actually is?” Mr Morse: “Um.. err.. I don’t know anything about her eye ware..um..” Trump: “So, is she smoking hot or what?” Mr Morse: “Sir, I am not in a position to say..” Trump: “So not hot?” Mr Morse: “Sir, beauty is a concept that it is up to the individual to decide..” Trump: “So, a two bagger, you say. She’s fired. And I will do you a solid. Fire her by email so you don’t have to worry about her getting all emotional and upset on you. Who needs all that crying, am I right? Plus who wants to look at ugly women who think they’re smart cry! Seen enough of that at my days on The Apprentice! Women crying should be reserved for beauty pageants. Only hot women should be crying!” Mr Morse: “But sir, this is a highly inappropriate way to..” Trump: “Screw that! Only hot librarians under my administration! Get Megan Kelly on the phone!”
A mandate? Hardly. Less than 50% of the vote and only beat his challenger by 1.5%. Even if he had a mandate since when does that apply to monopolistic positions like the Librarian of Congress, Fed Chair, etc?
If being elected president implies a mandate, I assume you will be supporting the next president undoing all of Trump’s work?
Isn't Fox News going to run out of reporters at some point? Or does Trump reserve the Fox News reporters for cabinet-level posts only? Isn't some minimal level of competence required to perform some of these government jobs? Or are we way beyond competence at this point? Fealty to the dictator is the top priority, huh?
The mandate was the 7 swing states that were the only states contested and President Trump swept all 7. When you go 7 of 7 for the states that were contested, that’s the mandate of all mandates. President Trump has a mandate.
A key feature of the American system is that the identity of the individual who occupies a station is irrelevant. If the powers of the Oval Office depend upon who is its occupant, it is no longer the American system.
750,000 votes across seven states while not having a national majority is a mandate. You’re amusing for your unseriousness. Meanwhile, Trump’s margin against Harris was less than Clinton’s over him but it’s a “mandate.”
Here we go again, our local libbies always try to make everything about race, these people are sick and need help
I see you went to your go to response; you're the poster child of a typical libbie. You and many others should seek help
