Years ago I had a boss who grew up in Beverly Hills (with money), and he always said Kansas City was his favorite place. From what I understand Lawrence is almost a suburb of KC--well east of the corn fields.
It's about an hour on K-10 from Lawrence to Kansas City. The suburbs on the Kansas side (where I grew up) are obscenely wealthy. Either way, the stuff one makes fun of about Kansas are all west of Lawrence, and would have about as much relevance to Boogie Fland's life as Baker County would if he chose UF.
JMO, if Denzel is worth 2M to UK, Fland is worth at least double that if not more to most teams. It would surprise the heck out of me if we got Fland at all, much less for 3M, but who knows.
I'd take the dude's bbq at the gas station around Starke/301 over Kansas bbq. Don't know if he's still cooking there, but I used to stop by on my way to the swamp and eat whatever he's smoking many years ago.
Yep. When you see how fast the corn grows and in such straight rows, you can't help but be in awe. And then, once you are finished being in awe and decide to have some exhilarating fun, you can get on your scooter (the pushie type, not the motor type ) and woosh downhill until you come to a stop. The real fun is trying to decide which direction is downhill. If you guess wrong, and you guess wrong a LOT, you then begin to woosh backwards. Can you imagine how terrifying it is going backwards on a scooter travelling almost as fast as a tortoise???
"...generate AI slop?" Wha...? I can personally vouch for the accuracy of these photos. The first is from downtown Lawrence. The second is from Lake Alice.
Cmon man. It’s clear the lake Alice one is real.. But downtown Lawrence looks much much worse than that.. specially in winter
Pretty sure that’s Gainesville Beach but the last time I was there was holloween 1976 so my memory is a little hazy…..
Hey te, you forgot about taking a "Dorothy" spin up ride on an F5 over the rainbow. Now THATS, entertainment!
