My only issue is letting some of these guys go a little longer. It was too early to bring Jake in. However, you just pulled 3 guys to land on Philpot who just doesn't have it. Any....always fun to arm chair QB.

 

We get behind so many hitters. Sully probably has ulcers.

 

We lost this game at that first lightning strike.

Imagine if Clemente comes in after the rain delay. Or he’s the second guy in.

 

Why are the Texas fans complaining about our catcher taking a mound visit? Their batters have to step out and fix themselves and stare at their bat after every dang pitch. I don't know how that isn't delaying the game. I didn't think you were allowed to step out every pitch unless you swung. I hate watching a Jim Schlossnagle team.

 

Yeah....but i think Sully put a flag in the ground at some point that basically told these guys "throw strikes and hit your spots or I will yank your ass so fast your head will spin". May bite us today, but we were the same guys complaining about long leash and double digit runs allowed.

This squeaky bumpkin announcer is almost as nails-on-a-chalkboard as Beth Mowins.

 

Gave this game away… Metrics and what makes sense say you go to McDonald for an hour or two CRod and let Jake Clemente get us 10 or 11 outs to take the series. I have no idea why we did not pitch those two guys today.

 

Pretty anemic approaches at the plate since the rain break. But I give a lot of credit to Texas' pitchers. They've been really good.
