These charges feel unsatisfactory to me based on what I saw in the video. Reilly was arrested on Saturday and has been charged with assault in the first degree - class B felony; criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree - class C felony; and criminal possession of a firearm - class E felony.
I think the soft charges were based on the white guys version being more believable than the black Uber driver’s until the video came out.
The righties on the anonymous “spitting” thread are posting hourly updates of the man hunt (woman hunt?) and wondering what the country has come to. Here, regarding a shooting, they are joking about it and suggesting its no big deal because the elected official isn’t in the Senate I guess. I am trying to reconcile. Any help would be appreciated.
That’s damning video. Def no self defense need shown in that clip. Wondering if the driver had already been shot and escaped to the car or if he was hit from one of the shots shown in the vid. Shooter is in deep stuff and needs the book thrown at him.
I assume it was one of the last two shots where he took direct aim at the car. Why start the video with the warning shot into the ground if he’d already shot the guy earlier?
No worries. ICE has already been dispatched to deport the driver, and without him, there is no crime. Meanwhile, Trump has already planned the award ceremony for the shooter for taking out the violent, illegal Venezualan/African gang member.
