Why does your post not make sense? Democratically elected members of this country are allowed to conduct oversight including facility visits. The mayor, maybe not.

Article I, Section 8, Clause 18 of the U.S. Constitution (the Necessary and Proper Clause):

“To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.”

It was not at a seat of government, and it was on a much smaller scale, but I had the same thought. Even worse is that it was elected representatives that one expects to be reasonable adults, to be able to analyze situations and weigh potential options and consequences, to articulate opinions in a meaningful way, and to perhaps make arrangements ahead of time instead of act the fool bum rushing security forces to fully expose their incompetence.

Trump supporters care about insurrection now?

Actually what this thread indicates is simply what we've seen for over 8 years; Trump supporters want to employ, or be protected by, the very laws they want to break or deny use of to others.

In this case; laws or standards of "insurrection" should be ignored wrt Trump supporters, but not their opponents. It's really that childishly simple.

It's hypocrisy, but not just that. It's parasitic hypocrisy. It's leeching off of our legal and social compact.

Great comment on the incident!! So many democrats are simply incorrigible and just stupid. This bunch ……. clowns, all of them.

One House Republican Had the Best Line for the Dems' Failed Insurrection at ICE Facility

The best was Rep. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) crashed out over the arrests, claiming that placing handcuffs on members of Congress is somehow an egregious violation or something. My man, they broke the law. And sorry, but you have no standing to rage like this when your daddy got busted for bribery, gold bars, and other acts of corruption. That alone proves that when members of Congress break the law, they go bye-bye into the hands of law enforcement. Also, criminal aliens are the priority, but if you’re here illegally, you’re going. Hasta forever. That’s never been a lie or a secret. Like your dad, you’re just too stupid to know better.

Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) had the best line in response to this presser: “I can’t blame Robert Menendez for storming a federal detainment facility. He was just looking for his dad.”

Just a PSA for you… when you typed this… the little squiggly lines underneath the letters means it isn’t a word.

Would you please explain what that term means? It's not actually a word.

    Thanks in advance.

Agree ….. but his actions in this incident may very well fit that cliche “like father like son” or “the doesn’t fall far from the tree”.

But, the part about him entering the facility to look for his father was pretty funny.

Meh. That’s certainly true if he was in literally any other line of work. But he chose the family business.

No one is above the law. This should begin to register with psychotic dems after the Tesla arrests, the woman spitter arrest, and now a dem mayor who believes he is above the law.

Hopefully, the fat bottom woman DA from NY is next.

Mountains, mole hills and talking points oh my. The free thinkers have certainly been indoctrinated. But propaganda always works best when folks believe it was their choice.

Looks very insurrectiony to me. How many federal officers did the Democrats attack? Let,'s track all the insurrectionist's smart phones and toss every one of them into a filthy jail until their trials. Hide the video evidence from defense lawyers. Try them in Fulton county, PA, which voted 85% Republican in 2020. Get the most hardcore corrupt judges and prosecutors available. Throw some of them into solitary confinement. Let the prison guards slap some of them around. Give them some rats to play with. Make the plea deals cruel and excessive
