Apparently, he is a baseball guy. He is supposedly a Cubs fan.

You can take the Pope out of Chicago, but not the Chicago out of the Pope

Considering his devotion to the downtrodden I'm surprised he's not a White Sox fan.

Im a Leafs, Jaguars, and Reds fan. If you've won a title in the last 35 years you're living the good life.

If it wasn't for the Gators I'd have nothing

You are old enough to have picked a different team before the Jags existed ... that one is kind of on you. At least the other two have had actual glory days. As a Reds sympathizer, I can be nostalgic about the Big Red Machine I wasnt alive for.

I was a Bengals fan before the Jags (Cincinnati ties), who also never got me a title. Im a cross between picking losers (Leafs) and being born into losers. Reds got me a title when I was 6. It was glorious

That is enough to cause somebody to turn to prayer. Leafs are looking good.

Me picking the Eagles when I was a kid because the Bucs were awful has paid dividends years later. Sometimes you just have to be patient. I staid strong even when the Bucs got a few titles.

I never expected Gator basketball to ever win another natty. So I'm good for at least another 10-15 years I think .

This season was so weird. I was thinking college basketball was so chaotic and that dominance wasnt possible anymore because of transfers, the tournament was crapshoot that we would probably never be lucky enough to win. But I guess now you can just put together a roster of 24 year old veterans and we had one of the most chalk tournaments I can remember.

Yeah, I think that the portal/NIL will have the opposite effect. Lower level conferences will become farm leagues for the top teams. Could you imagine Belmont with Will Richard, Malik Dia, and Ja'Kobi Gillespie? That would be a strong possibility for a second weekend or even Final 4 run. Instead, they all went to the second weekend as major contributors to SEC or Big 10 teams.

Yeah, we were so used to players leaving college ASAP, and now you can just do the Clayton route, since the number of 1st round NBA picks is tiny. More guaranteed money in the short term to stay in school.
