I agree. I would also add that there is a difference between illegally taking over a building and starting fires which would probably warrant deportation than peaceful demonstrations or writing editorials or letters to the editor, the types of behavior that the Trump Administration has been using as a pretext to withdraw student visas or even permanent residency status of individuals with whom the Administration disagrees.

 

Also weird how it’s mods who are supposed to be cleaning up the forum of those types of threads who are making them. This place is COOKED lol

…. Could have said “Jan 6 style” mob or “Malheur Wildlife Refuge” style mob, and been much more accurate, since those right wing militants actually did take over a building…. When has Antifa taken over a building?

 

Regardless of what we call them or which media outlets reported on them, they crossed a line. No one supports a good peaceful protest as much as I do, but taking over a building and inflicting over $1M in damages, disrupting campus life and setting fires is way past peaceful protests.

I agree with what others have said, that if those arrested are on student visas, those visas should be revoked and those people deported.

Regardless of political affiliations, we should not be supporting violence and chaos in my opinion.

Not typically associated with the conservative demographic. Red states that have high crime are due to blue cities; i.e. New Orleans, St. Louis, Birmingham, Houston, etc.

Not to mention Republicans don't make any gains from criminals with felony voter disenfranchisement, firearms ownership rights disenfranchisement.
