And that's what the analytics were saying at the time. Auburn had an insane Ken Pom rating at that point. They came down to Earth after losing that game and then going on to lose their last two in the regular season.

To win the NCAA Tournament, you only have to be the best team at the end of the season.

If we get Condo and The Chins back, i'll like our chances to win vs. their true freshmen frontcourt in Cameron.

Given that the SEC went out of their way to announce they had noticed that people were upset about Florida-UK not being played twice in a press release, I think we can probably pencil in UK as one of the 2-game teams.

I read somewhere that for those last two games, Bruce tried experimenting with a few different wrinkles and schemes to possibly incorporate during the tournament.

As the article pointed out, its a risky move because a team is usually in a zone/rhythm at the end of the year if they're clicking. Doing that is essentially asking them to take their foot off the gas. While they did manage to get traction again as they made the final four, it never did feel full throttle again.

Not to mention the refs were clearly trying to hand North Carolina the game last year and we still took it.
